During March I plan to learn (and memorize) all of the hotkeys in StarCraft II, and find out all of them that have relevance to maximizing APM (Actions Per Minute). To do this I will consult guides to the usage of the different hotkeys and their uses.

Today I plan to find out which StarCraft II keyboard shortcuts are useful to be "good" at the game. Since I plan to increase and maximize my APM I need to find which shortcuts are useful to do this, and which I can simply use the regular way of accomplishing something.

Today I will continue to research about the different hotkeys, and about how to actually strategically use each of the hotkeys I find. This is really just a recap of my goals from last week until I actually have all of the hotkeys memorized. I am going to probably make myself a mini-test with the most important hotkeys and what they do. I will try and get that this week or during spring break.
April Goals
In April I now plan to put my hotkeys to work. since I have been studying and learning about these hotkeys for almost a month, it is time to put them into practice. from here the project will be a lot less in class based because it actually requires that I play the game to learn about the actual usage of the hotkeys that I have been studying.

Today I will work a bit on my Blog, as it is hard to do the gaming in class, so class time will be mostly for blog posts and continued learning of the games strategies. I may be able to add things into my blog that will make it more smooth than if I had not had this sort of class time to work on it.

I am starting to get more familiar with all of the characters of the Terran race, and am starting to get out of my habit of just clicking to get what I want done. throughout this week I am going to get better at specifically using all of the hotkeys that I have memorized, because I am not in the habit of doing so. I will also look for more Macro strategy. For now learning about Macro is more important than working on Micro. This is because for a new player like me, I suffer Macro loss for Improving Micro, because I can't concentrate on both in the same way.

This week is just a continuation of last week, I will be posting some video's for this update of my blog. I will post videos of me playing StarCraft 2 to show the progress of my APM. I have slowly started to increase my APM, and with its increase I have also become better at defeating better AI.

For this week and the next few, I am going to be looking deeply into Macro strategies. This is the next step for me in increasing APM, as this is the next level in increasing my speed and effectiveness. for the most part it is straight forward, but a lot of the work is done outside of the game. I need to plan and make my strategy for each base, and make sure that it fits within the limits of what a base can support. that is going to be the biggest part of this week, and starting to get better at timing for the beginning of my matches.

Today is going to be uploading video's and getting them ready to upload. I am going to continue making up my macro plan, and I am going to slowly develop it until I have worked out any major kinks. I think I am safe to make a complete plan of what I will do with my base in the first 5 minutes, because those rarely actually ever change in how they play out. I like the Strategy found Here under 1.2.2, I will just tweak it slightly so that it still fits within the constraints of one base.

From now it will be preparing my final project, and finishing up my research on various factors in StarCraft 2. I have expanding my knowledge of StarCraft 2, and have learned a great deal about how to play with strategy. I have learned most of what I need about Macro to be able to efficiently run my base, but I haven't been able to learn much about Micro strategies. I will not bother to try and learn about Micro in this project (while actually recording it), but I hope to have the opportunity to learn about Micro in the Future.

For the month of June the only things I have left to do in my project are complete an outline for my passion project presentation.

This week is preparation for the presentation, which will be on next week. I have written the beginning of an outline for my presentation already, but need to refine it, and change it so that it can be used as a presentation. there is little that I can do in way of actually moving forward in my project, because otherwise I would not be able to include it in the preparation for my presentation.

May Goals
I have been
figuring out what pro's do and I have found that pros are making a push already
in the first ten minutes. I think I will make this a Goal for me so that I can
try and get close to the pros in speed. I have noticed that If I start to push
early, I will probably be able to increase my APM. In My latest video, I have
started to work on my Macro, and I
defeat the AI early on in the Game. In my next plays I am going to try and make
a push before it hits ten minutes.
